17th European Regional Conference of ICJW
May 19-22, 2024, Bratislava - Slovakia

We are pleased to present the "17. ICJW European regional Conference 2024". Approximately 100 participants from 22 European countries and other continents of the world will gather at the conference. Experienced speakers will deliver lectures on various topics related to the theme.

The theme for 17th European Regional Conference of ICJW is:
"FROM TRADITIONS TO THE FUTURE - Diversity and unity of Judaism in vibrant Europe."

 

Organising institution

The conference is organised by Czech Council of Jewish Women which is a member of an international institution established 1912 in Berlin and named the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW). ICJW is an umbrella organization representing 43 independent sister organizations in various countries, working together to protect human rights and traditional Jewish values. The common goal is to improve the status and lives of women in society, contributing to interfaith tolerance, tolerance among cultures and promoting mutual understanding and dialogue.

While not being a political organization, ICJW can issue statements and organize initiatives that contribute to the humanization of politics. As a non-governmental organization, it has an advisory vote with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) as well as with other international organizations. ICJW seeks a just society that opposes anti-Semitism and hatred and respects traditional Jewish values.

ICJW EUROPE covers 22 independent but cooperating organizations across Europe with similar topics, they share and deal with together. For example, the process of democratization is one of them as well as similar life stories and nowadays threats, hater, xenophobia and anti-Semitism.
